Meet Coal (ADOPTED!)

**COAL HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Pal's Place rescue would love to introduce you to Coal, an adorable, chunky, little low-rider, Pitopotamus of a pup in need of a loving forever home. This precious girl was rescued from an overburdened, open-intake, animal control facility in rural eastern Kentucky along with her sister, Carmella (also available for adoption). Coal is estimated to be around 5 months old and weighs a short and stocky 35 pounds. We are anticipating an adult weight of 50-60 pounds.

A DNA test has determined Coal and Carmella are mostly Pittie but do have some Boston Terrier and Boxer in their family tree as well. Coal is a social and happy dog who loves making new friends with humans and other canines alike. She loves to play and is curious, adventurous, and enthusiastic about the world around her. Coal is also an expert snuggler and enjoys smothering her humans with kisses and cuddles. We feel she will do well in almost any household with the time and energy to raise a young terrier pup. Puppies are adorable and fun but require a tremendous amount of time, patience, and energy during their first year or so please consider if you truly have the time to devote to crate training, housebreaking, basic obedience training, socialization, and exercise all young dogs need. Coal is working on her crate training and housebreaking in her foster home and is doing excellent when kept on a regular schedule.

Coal and her sister are spayed, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. Their adoption fee to the rescue is $475. These guys are being fostered on Chicago's north side and can be seen by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted and approved by the rescue. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason once they are available for adoption. For more information or an adoption application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit http://palsplacerescue.org/adopt/. We do our best to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours. However, we are an all-volunteer organization and may not be able to respond for 3-5 days at times. If you are expecting a response from us, please check your spam/junk folders regularly, as our correspondence can sometimes end up in those folders.

• Pal's Place adoption fees start at $475 for puppies and $375 for dogs aged 12 months or older. This fee helps to cover medical expenses needed to prepare dogs for adoption (vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries, etc.), feeding, transportation, and general care for the dogs. Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations to care for our rescued dogs.
