Clovis- A broken tail, a mended heart, a lifelong friend. American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Wantagh, NY

Clovis is a 50 pound, 2 1/2 year old staffie mix who was rescued from a Houston shelter on his last day before being euthanized due to overcrowding. He'd been withering away in the shelter and he'd given up on life. His body was deteriorating, his tail was broken and so was his spirit.
It took one person to see his photo and know his worth. That person works tirelessly with Road to Home rescue and found him transport out of that hell hole and into a safe and loving doggy daycare and boarding facility up North. 
5 months ago, Clovis wasn't ready for change. He'd given up on mankind and even on himself. It's taken some time to bring him back to a place where he now celebrates life. He's proven to the staff at that he loves his people. He'll fetch a ball all day long if you'll let him and he longs for the day where he can chase squirrels in a big, grassy yard while basking in the sunshine.
This boy will work for food, he'll play for balls, he'll live for his person! A low-key home with no children or children over 13 (due to his energy) would suit him to a tee.
