Meet Clifford JuM

Meet Clifford JuM

My Foster Mom says everyone remembers the book “Clifford, the Big Red Dog”, right?? Well, I won’t tell my Foster Mom, but maybe only the Boomer generation remembers the book?? Millennials, any of y’all know what she’s talkin’ about, raise your hand?

Anyways, the big red dog that was immortalized in those books is my namesake, and for more reasons than just our uncanny ‘semblance! Although I don’t know if I would label my color as red…more of a burnt sienna if you had a deck of oil paints.

My foster mom says I am an amazing dog with kids, I am house and crate trained. =I do not require a hard hand, a gentle hand is ideal. I love to play and would be great with another medium to low energy dog.

My namesake was really smart, was crazy about his girl (Emily Elizabeth), and always helping Emily Elizabeth out of trouble caused by her active ‘magination. I would love to have my own Emily Elizabeth to take care of!! Or, maybe even more a gang of Emily Elizabeths…I love kids!!

Are you grossed out by face slurps or is that something you would enjoy? My favorite hobbies are to run and chase the ball, play tug of war, and slurp faces. I would love to have a family that enjoys hiking and outdoor adventures because I do too!! I am a good sized boy at 70 pounds and am 2 years old. My hairytage is Shepherd/Hound and I inhairited the snazzy GQ looks and characteristics of both breeds. I am good with other dogs because I don’t care if they want to be the boss; I just want to be a pal.

My original owner did not treat me with preventatives for heartworm. Unfortunately, I got bitten by a mosquito and tested heartworm positive. Dagnabbit, it is hard to believe such a tiny critter as a skeeter can cause such trouble in my heart. But GOOD NEWS, I did get my heartworm treatment done and just need one more retest to prove they are dead! So you can go ahead and adopt me now, I am fresh and healthy again and it did not affect my GOOD BOY status one bit!!!

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $250.00 FOR PUPPIES LOCAL (Local is in the state of Texas) and LOCAL ADULTS are $200 and Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $500.00 for PUPPIES and $400.00 for ADULTS. We transport all over the country!!

Our dogs are socialized, and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality. Please contact us at info@godsdogsrescue.org for more information about adopting one of our dogs and puppies or fill out an adoption application at http://www.godsdogsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/
