ESRA foster dog Clark wants nothing more than a Forever Home where he can be the main attraction. Because he was mistreated in his pre-rescue life, he does need some patience and special handling. Clark is not a cuddly dog who wants attention and he would not do well in busy situations like a dog park. He is very fearful and apprehensive with the vet and groomer, so much that he will fight to get away when restrained.

Clark gets along with a couple of dogs in his boarding situation, but we can't predict which ones he will have an issue with. For these reasons, we are looking for a home without children or other dogs around in order to have the most successful placement for him.

Clark is healthy and handsome, with a shiny and glossy coat. He is housetrained, crate trained, knows basic commands and is a quick learner and generally well-behaved. He responds especially well to a gentle touch and kind words and will ask for petting after he learns to trust new people.
