Clarence Lhasa Apso & Miniature Schnauzer Mix Newcastle, OK

Clarence is a sweetheart around 4-5 years old. He was heartworm positive when we rescued him from the OKC shelter, but has already undergone treatment and is ready for his furever home. He gets along well with other dogs, but can be fearful of some if they're larger than him. He will chase the kitties, but is very curious about them. And we think with the right kitty, he may do well, but we don't know for sure. He's house and crate trained, and is timid when meeting new people but will warm up if you'll just be a little patient with him. That's his only special need: someone with patience enough to let him get comfortable with you. He's also a runner, so you must be watchful when opening your front door so that he doesn't escape. You can simply put him behind a baby gate or inside his crate whenever you need to open your front door. We also don't recommend him with children under the age of 14 years old.
