Cjay - The Best Boy with a Strong Training Skillset's Story

Goof, derp, lover of life. Cjay is loving, loyal, funny – a tongue flopping, trotting next to you kind of bestie. He’s a great hybrid dog who loves to enjoy the great outdoors and go on walks, play ball and run next you on a bike ride. But he also is a chill couch potato who likes to cozy in and watch TV. Everyone who meets Cjay falls in love with him – he’s one of those dogs who doesn’t lack for personality haha and keeps you laughing. Cjay has been fostered by an awesome trainer so whoever adopts him will get a dog who has been through an in depth board and train program already. Cjay’s the right dog for an experienced family who are strong leaders with kind hearts to stay consistent with his training to continue to set him up for success. Approved adopters will receive training sessions so you know what Cjay knows to make the transition smooth :).

Cjay’s favorite thing to do is play ball WHILE rolling in the grass at the same time (talk about innovation! ;)

He's available for adoption anywhere in SoCal

MORE INFO:.

HEALTH & BACKGROUND:
- AGE: ~10 - but he definitely does not act his age and loves to play and run and hike :)
- WEIGHT: ~86 pounds
- HEALTH: Great! He can have a sensitive tummy (managed with high quality food and treats / avoiding poultry) + sometimes has dry eyes which eyedrops work great for. Pretty darn good for a slightly older guy!
- NEUTERED: Yes
- VACCINATIONS: Up to date
- TRAINING: Fostered by a balanced trainer / behaviorist and has therefore been in a long term advanced board and train and has done the work. He is now a super trained dog with a strong skillset and a certified Canine Good Citizen. His trainer will teach his new family what Cjay knows for consistency once he is in a new home! He is crate trained and will come with his own Impact crate.

TEMPERAMENT & IDEAL HOME:

CJAY IS:
-A silly guy filled with personality
-Protective
-Looooveesss his people
-He’s not a fan of strangers coming up and patting him on the head, he prefers proper introductions (his fave way to meet a new friend is to high five them for a treat!)
-Extremely smart, a quick learner and good listener - he hasn’t always had the easiest life and came to us defensive and scared; training has turned him into a new man! Keeping up his training will continue to set him up for success.
- Cjay prefers calm, respectful dogs with slow proper introductions. He does not like super high energy, jumpy dogs in his face and is not afraid to tell them to back off.
-Cjay lives with cats and even plays with one of them; as with all intros, gradual is best.
-He lives with a little girl who is around 12 years old; he can do well with kids who are old enough to understand boundaries.

CJAY WOULD DO BEST IN A CALM, STRUCTURED HOME WITH SOMEONE WHO:
- Is a strong leader with a kind heart
- Maintains consistency with their dog’s training
- Has experience with big protective breeds or eager to learn
- Is active and is either home a lot or likes taking their dog with them (Cjay loves coming along)
- If other dogs are in the house, they should be calm/respectful + trained or willing to have them trained so they can play by the same rules as Cjay; Cjay could be in a home as the only dog as well.

While Cjay is not the right dog for everyone, for the right family, he is the kind of dog who will be your EVERYTHING ??

Please email / reach out for more info: animalarmyla@gmail.com

Thank you!
