Meet Cinnamon (now Phoebe): A Gentle, Loyal Snugglebug Ready for Her Second Chance

Phoebe is a stunning 3-year-old Shepherd/Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with the softest eyes and an even softer heart. She was adopted as a puppy and has been very loved, but due to a change in her adopter’s living situation, she’s now back with us and looking for her forever home.

Now weighing ~50 pounds, Phoebe is a sweet & sensitive soul and dog friendly. She can be a little shy around new people, especially men with loud voices, so she’ll do best in a calm, quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she transforms into a full-time cuddler who will happily curl up next to you for hours.

Phoebe is spayed, up to date on her shots, crate and house-trained. She knows “sit” and enjoys antlers and Nylabones (but fabric toys are off-limits—she prefers to “taste test” those a little too thoroughly)! She’s not a fan of stormy weather and would love a home with a secure, spacious yard where she can explore when the skies are clear.

Phoebe is dreaming of a quiet forever home—somewhere with gentle, patient people (ideally without little ones) who will love her for the soft-hearted snugglebug she is. Could you be the one to give her that happy ending?

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2025 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $400
Dogs over 12 months - $300


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
