Meet Cincy
UPDATE 1/29 ... WHY is this girl still here? She loves everyone--kids, other dogs, every human she has ever met. And you just can't help loving her in return. She's got some hound dog drive and energy--but give her a good workout, and she will reward you with some serious snuggles.

UPDATE 10/5 ... CIncy received SKY-HIGH reviews from her new friends at Red Dog, where she has started attending doggy daycare. Ask the staff there and they will RAVE about her good looks, great temperament and all-around awesomeness!

Cincy is just two years old and a petite 40ish pounds. Her former owner surrendered her to a county pound, where she caught the rescue bus straight to STAF. We LOVE US some hound around here, and it seems the feeling is mutual ... Cincy wags her tail like crazy whenever a volunteer enters her room. She is EVEN HAPPIER when she's romping in the yard with other dogs ... so we hope to find her a forever family that includes dog sibling/s and a secure fenced yard. After a much-needed bath, Cincy smells as sweet as she is, and is ready to accept visitors. Come experience for yourself why she is in the running for our "most lovable" resident!
• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Invisible fences: Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
