Meet Chyann
Now, this girl is out to steal some hearts! Meet Chyann! ?
"Chyann came to us distressed and scared of other dogs. She was aloof but sweet towards us. A week later she is this happy pretty girl who loves pets and playing with my dogs now! It has been such a joy seeing her come out of her shell. She may take a little extra work but the reward, in the end, is 100% devotion and sweetness with a splash of goofiness as she talks to you. She isn't a huge kisser but when she does sneak one in it's gentle."
-From Chyann's foster mom. ^
Some dogs just seem to speak to you. Chyann is one of those dogs. She has the sweetest face, the prettiest markings, and the cutest ears! Chyann came to us because she kept wandering off from her owner's unfenced yard. They were worried that she would get injured and wanted her to end up somewhere safe. They surrendered her to us. After a few weeks, she was adopted. She was recently returned due to her adopter's dog not wanting to accept her. No matter what they tried, he wanted to be the only dog in the home so Chyann's adoptive family made the hard choice to surrender her back to us.
Chyann is about 22 months old, and a Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix. She currently weighs about 40lbs, and won't be getting much bigger than that. Chyann is a calmer dog. She isn't high energy but would enjoy some walks here and there. She would love playing in the backyard with the kiddos and then cuddling on the couch shortly after.
?Chyann is the kind of dog you can take on walks. She loves being with her people. If you happen to run into other people on the walk, Chyann does well. She might be a little suspicious at first but warms up fast. If you are a family that goes on lots of road trips, Chyann will be right there with you! She does well in the car. If you are a social butterfly and love being out and about...this girl may be right there with you eventually! She needs some more socialization as she is still nervous in new settings, but with some more outings, I bet she would start to love it! Especially if it means she can go where you go! ?
? Chyann can be trusted with free-roam of the house. She has not shown to be a big chewer in her foster home. At this time, she is uninterested in playing fetch or in any water. She also hasn't played with any toys yet. Food aggression and resource guarding don't seem to be present with this girl. She will, however, give hugs when she gets really excited. Chyann hasn't shown to be a big barker in her foster home. She will let you know if there are strangers around, though. Once she gets to know them, she warms up quickly. When her fosters are away, she stays in their office and does well. At night, she likes sleeping in bed with her fosters. She is potty trained, but her foster hasn't needed to kennel her at all. Chyann is a really great dog. She loves everyone and everything.
?Chyann LOVES kids. She absolutely lights up when she is around them. Her new family should have kids around 5 or older since she loves interacting with them, staying by their side, giving kisses, and playing with them outside.
?Chyann is good with other dogs, but may initially be standoffish with them. Once she warms up to them, she LOVES to play with them! After that, she will happily curl up on the couch with them or her people.
?Chyann is good with cats.

??To Chyann's Furever Family??
~~Chyann would do best with a family that has kids and can offer lots of love. She would be a great companion for a dog that is on the more submissive side and wants a playmate. A family that is patient and excited to watch her come out of her shell would be preferred. She initially takes some time to warm up to her surroundings but once she does, this girl is pure love! Chyann has excellent house manners and has not needed to be kenneled. It would be great if her new family didn't plan on kenneling her either. ? ~~
~~Chyann is being fostered in Broken Arrow, OK. Her new family needs to be able to pick her up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with her and her new family! ?~~
~~Her adoption fee is $225. That includes DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. She will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention. ~~
