A young and beautiful gal determined to not let her unfortunate troubling past put a damper on her zest for life! Her playful personality will warm your heart and fill your days with laughs and smiles.

We aren't sure what Chrissy's past looks like, but we do suspect she endured significant trauma that may haunt her for the rest of her life. She was found begging for help at a gas station that was next to a busy highway. She was underweight, her skin was a mess, and her eyes were full of pain and desperation, yet everyone just ignored her pleas for help. Thankfully, her finder loaded her up and showed her kindness for what seems like the first time in her life.

Although she has a beautiful soul and charming personality, there are residual fears from her past. She is sensitive to raised voices and negative energy, cowering in fear with eyes full of worry about what's to come next. New situations can be scary and overwhelming, causing her to be shy and cautious. Gentle pets and positive words of encouragement help her relax enough to explore and begin enjoying the new experience. She also has an intense fear of getting bathed, more so than the average dog that protests bath time. Her foster mom learned that using a bucket of water and towel to rinse her off causes the least amount of stress. Despite her troubled past and ongoing quirkiness, Chrissy has a loving, loyal, and playful personality that shines when given time, patience, and positivity! She deserves a gentle and understanding home that will be kind and patient to allow her charming and silly personality to flourish.

Her boundless energy, enthusiasm, and lively personality keeps her on the lookout for the next great adventure. She is always eager to accompany her foster mom on their morning and evening mile long outdoor escapade! She's the ultimate walking companion that is a charm on the leash and radiates a joyful presence. Chrissy needs a home and family that can match her boundless energy to keep her spirits high and the mischief to a minimum. This girl may be petite, but she is very athletic and may seek adventures on her own if she isn't mentally and physically stimulated.

She loves other canine companions and wonderfully adjusts her play style depending on the size, age, and energy level of other dogs! She would thrive best in a home with another playful and energetic doggy friend that also likes to run, rough house, and play tug. Although she doesn't seem to want to harm a cat, she is rough and chases them any chance she gets. So, she would not be ideal for a cat that isn't fond of dogs and runs away from them.

Chrissy's foster parents have done an amazing job preparing her for her forever home and report that she's potty and crate trained! They say that Chrissy is intelligent and has the potential to learn so much with a little patience and consistency. Chrissy is thankful they allow her on the couch, because she enjoys lounging and watching tv with the family. She even gives little gentle kisses to show her appreciation! She accompanies her foster mom to work occasionally and is always on her best behavior, usually just napping in the office ignoring the hustle and bustle happening beyond the room.

Chrissy is a petite pibble/terrier mix that weighs 38 pounds and is approximately 1 year 7 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccines including monthly heartworm prevention!
