Meet Chong
Meet our senior sweetie Chong! He is around 10 years old and is a Dachshund/Poodle mix. He weighs around 20 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart worm negative, and microchipped.
Chong was surrendered to the OKC shelter when his owner passed away in December before he came to us. He was surrendered with another pet and they have been in the same foster home, but are not bonded. His hair was incredibly overgrown and painfully matted. He does require routine grooming to keep him comfortable and handsome.
Chong is good with other dogs and cats! He has not lived with children but we don't have any concerns for him living in a home with children that are respectful of a senior dog. He is doing well with house training with frequent potty breaks. He is a pretty laid back guy who loves a good snuggle and a few great places to take a nap. He is incredibly sweet and loves attention and pets.
Chong does have a condition called collapsing trachea, which makes him cough at times. But he doesn't let this slow him down! He currently does not take any medication.
