Chomsky (LOVS) Poodle Mix Springdale, PA

Chomsky was found lost and alone in the New Kensington/Natrona Heights area by one of Paws Across Pittsburgh's humane officers this past spring. Chomsky was instantly taken into care by a foster mom to give him the love and attention that he so desperately needed. Chomsky has since found his furever home with a loving and caring human and a boxer fur brother, Finn. Chomsky's new mom decided that the name just didn't quite fit and he is now known as Half Pint!

Half Pint is a black miniature poodle mix and is estimated to be between 10 to 12 years old. His age does not slow him down as he is very energetic and loves trotting along on his walks with his mom! Half Pint and his new fur brother, Finn, get along wonderfully. Finn is very happy to have a companion now, especially on days that their mom is working! Half Pint doesn't want just any treat, he prefers peanut butter!

Half Pint has had some health issues with arthritis/stenosis in his spine in which he had to undergo a laser treatment, and some follow up rehab work. Since being treated, he has not been experiencing any pain. Half Pint is part of Paws Across Pittsburgh's LOVS Program (Lifetime of Veterinarian Support for Senior Paws Program), which means that his vet care will be paid for throughout his lifetime by this donation-supported program. Half Pint's new mom tells us that it is because of the LOVS Program that she felt more confidence and capability in adopting a senior dog. She is now so glad that she did, as her and Finn are truly enjoying his company!
