Meet Chloe

We have a very special bonded pair to introduce you to

Shorty and Chloe have been through a lot...and they've been through it all TOGETHER. As such, these two will be adopted out together, no exceptions. They have survived broken jaws, broken legs, parvo, but they were saved from their awful situation by an incredible hero who saw something and did something. Their hero saved their lives. What these dogs have endured makes our blood boil! We are so grateful for their hero. Since coming into PT, they have been with an amazing foster that has allowed them to decompress and learn to trust again.

Meet Shorty (Sheltie, male,5yrs, 10lbs). Shorty is very shy and guarded but he will come up to you on his own terms and his social skills are improving as he learns to trust again. While he isn't super snuggly (yet), he will come and sit on your lap for a few gentle scratches for a short time. He loves laying on the couch and playing with his sister.

Next is his best friend and guardian angel, Chloe (Mix, female, 2yrs, 20lbs). Chloe is very people friendly. She loves to snuggle and receive love Chloe adores her brother and her favorite thing to do is to kiss his face. She loves being the queen bee and lay on her throne all prim and proper.

As a bonded pair: They absolutely love each other and love to play together. While Chloe will play with other dogs, Shorty gets a little jealous when she does. Shorty relies on Chloe for a little more confidence with humans.

With Shorty's past, a home with no little kids is best; older kids that can give him space and time to adjust would be a better fit. Don't worry, though! Chloe will give you all the love you need til Shorty learns that not all humans are going to hurt him. As it takes Shorty a bit to warm up to other dogs, a home without other dogs would be ideal; other patient dogs in the home would probably be fine.

Shorty and Chloe are both potty and kennel trained. Their adoption fee is $225 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet and Greets can be scheduled with approved adopters; just click on Apply to Adopt below to get your app in!
