Meet Chloe

Hi, my name is Chloe! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Anxious/unsure at first, sweet and people-oriented once she's comfortable; active/high energy, intelligent, super silly and playful!
-Can Live with Kids: No, I need an adult-only home
-Can Live with Cats: No, I have a history of chasing/attacking the cats in my previous home
-Can Live with Dogs: No, I will need to be the only dog in the home. I am not a dog that will be able to go to dog parks.
-Can do Apartment Living: No- I would not be happy in an unpredictable, busy environment with lots of strangers coming and going. I would love a quieter home where I can just sit back and relax!
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, three private lessons
-Energy Level: High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: Chloe is a misunderstood girl looking for a very special home. She's anxious in new situations. This anxious behavior was likely made worse by the corrective-based training methods used on her in her previous home. Chloe will need an owner who is patient and willing to work with her while she learns how to trust again. Once she gets over her initial "stranger danger", this pup is all about the love! When she's not parading around the room showing off her toys, she's rolling around on the floor at your feet requesting belly rubs.
Chloe came to us with a patch of irritated skin on her nose. Our veterinarian believes this may be the result of an autoimmune disorder that will likely require long-term management. We currently have her on zinc tablets, but she may eventually need more aggressive treatment. If you'd like to learn more about Chloe, ask staff for more details. The first step towards adoption is filling out an adoption application.
