Allow me to introduce you to Chloe AKA Chloe the Magnificent! Chloe is a blind and deaf female cattle dog mix. She’s currently about 5 months old. Although Chloe experiences the world differently, she still does your average puppy things. She absolutely loves to be pet and have her tummy rubbed. When you first pick her up, be patient as she will wiggle around nervously until she recognizes your scent. She loves to pounce around, steal shoes to chew on and get in the mix with her Forster siblings. Because she is unaware of her surroundings at times, she may howl and cry a bit until she figures out where she is and feels safe. In fairness to Chloe, TRAINING IS A MUST. Safety is of the utmost importance. Signs, signals and tricks of the trade you may have used with pets in the past may not work for Chloe. She will need specific and consistent training to fit her needs. Once Chloe warms up and is familiar with your scent, she will want to be by your side whenever possible, so a stay at home caregiver may be best. ONLY IF you are willing to put the time in to join Chloe in how she sees the world, fill out an application at Louieslegacy.org and you will not be disappointed in the love and friendship she has to offer in return. COMMITTED APPLICANTS ONLY!!
This pet's adoption fee is $500. She is being fostered in Staten Island

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
