Meet Chloe
**Foster update January 2020**
Chloe is doing great in her foster home! Her foster mom says she is great with kids and loves being around people. She's like a friendly shadow! Chloe is now housetrained (though she doesn't bark to be let out, she doesn't have accidents in the house so long as she is taken out regularly), and also does well in a crate when no one is home and at bedtime. She's doing great on a leash, but her foster mom thinks she would benefit from having a fenced back yard to play in. She also has enjoyed trips to the dog park and gets along well with other dogs.
Like many younger dogs, Chloe is still learning what to chew and what not to chew. While she's not big on chewing up shoes, she DOES think that the toys of the little humans in her foster home are also HER toys. She doesn't play rough, but can be a little mouthy during play but they are working with her on that. (So dog-savvy kids in the new home would be best.) She proudly brings the things she has chewed to show you, but takes correction well so she will surely learn what is hers and ok to chew on in her new home. She is not a big barker and doesn't get all wound up barking at passersby when she is enjoying some sunbathing on the back porch on nice days. Chloe's foster mom says that she is an amazing dog and they have enjoyed having her in their home!

Chloe was surrendered by her owner, scared and shy, to an already full county shelter. The volunteers there worked really hard to secure her rescue and we were happy to welcome this sweet girl to Red Barn!
Chloe is a 1.5 year old hound/border collie mix (?). This sweet, gentle girl weighs about 60 pounds and is easy to love on, and loves to play and climb on the agility playground. Submissive, but not shy, she is very willing to learn and work for you. She is a wonderful medium energy dog who will fit in perfectly with most any family.
Chloe is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Our $250 adoption fee covers these expenses.
