Chip Hound Mix Stanton, KY

Chip is proving to be a great pup! He's already house-trained and does well on leash (he's had a few big walks already and a few trips to the dog park, which he loves). He was reluctant to come indoors to his new foster home, but now he's very happy to be inside. We are definitely seeing a more confident dog and even living in the city. He is enjoying his canine housemate.

He arrived at the shelter with his family of dogs when they were not kept safe from wandering near a busy Parkway. All 4 dogs were friendly and affectionate. Chip is estimated to be at least a year old. His size is a healthy 50ish lbs. He is in great shape and is now neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, heartworm negative & on preventatives. His personality is humble and sweet. We see that he is very appreciative of our affection and attention! We think he would be an awesome family pet. A fenced yard or leash security is required. He is SUCH a good boy!

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $150 - $175 Cats $90 (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!

We are glad to answer any questions. Adoption rates include a spay or neuter, vaccines, & deworming. Surgeries are mandatory!

Families with young children must have fenced yards to prevent the accidental escape of pets.
