MEET CHIP
Future movie star alert! This unbelievably sweet, smart and charismatic boy would be perfect for the big screen…his personality just shines! But if acting doesn’t work out, he can fall back on his ability to always take the most perfect picture and become a calendar model. This guy is so gorgeous and photogenic! Truly with his easygoing and happy personality, he would make an incredible therapy or service dog...he loves all people, children, other dogs. He's practically perfect!!
Our handsome Chip is an approximately 1-year-old Husky mix. He is a medium-sized dog and currently weighs around 51 lbs. He has the most beautiful, luxurious long coat of black, white, and silver – the typical husky coloring. He has lively dark chocolate brown eyes and a signature grin that shows his fun and happy personality. Chip is up to date on his vet care and vaccinations, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and has been neutered. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
Chip was found as a stray by a vet technician at one of our local vets and was taken in by the clinic. After several weeks of an owner not being able to be located, Chip came to us at the HSWA, where he continued his role of becoming the favorite of everyone he meets. Chip is a confident guy and is eager to make new friends (both human and canine), and he loves to be the recipient of any kind of attention you are willing to give him - especially tummy rubs! And he likes to be brushed, too.
Chip is calmer than most huskies tend to be, but he still has that energy and ability to wander should he be left unattended, and boredom sets in. He has a fun-loving spirit that shows through his gorgeous dark eyes and ever-smiling face. If you’re into adventure, then Chip likes to ride in the car and has the energy to go wherever you’ll take him. This super affectionate and happy boy loves to be around his folks. Chip is sweet, friendly, loving, and is looking for a home to call his own and a couch to relax on day after day! He is the perfect companion pet!
Because Chip likes to play in the yard so much, he will certainly need a fenced in yard, although he shouldn’t be left unattended. Chip should also not to be an outside dog only as he is very social and likes to be with his people and the comfort of air conditioning when it’s hot because of his heavy coat, so he might be okay in an apartment setting provided he gets plenty of daily exercise. Chip should make a great family pet and is great with children, even smaller ones. He has an easy-going personality and playful demeanor around other dogs, even in the chaos of the shelter, so he will probably do well with a family that has other dogs.
Come meet Chip and be ready to have your heart stolen by this absolutely perfect and handsome boy!
