Chikn Nugget American Bulldog & Boxer Mix Woodbury, NJ

Please welcome the cutest little Chikn Nugget to Good Karma Dog Rescue. This sweet little pup was found abandoned in a gated junk yard in the rainy days and heat of summer left to eat whatever she could find. It's clear she had a rough start all around. She was found way too thin, skin and bones, had Cherry Eye, and her initial fecal sample was full of items any living being should never feel forced to have to eat. She was extremely unsocialized with any other heartbeat and quite terrified of humans. We knew our work was cut out for us.
Over the past few weeks, this little nugget has shown her resiliency and it's absolutely incredible. Some of her incredible wins in the mere four weeks that she's been here:
? No longer running from her foster mom, now follows AND comes for pets and affection
? Learned what it is to be fed regularly so eats at a normal puppy pace
? Loves her crate, where she knows she is safe
? Learning to "dog" and have her days full of naps and love and lots of play with dogs of all sizes.
? Toys! She had no idea what to do with a nylabone or a squeaky toy. Those days are behind her
? Leash training is in progress. She's learned to be on leash in the yard and we are going slow with adventures and walks away from where she feels safe. There's no rush.
? House trained!!! For anyone that's rescued, this isn't for the weak. She now goes to the door to tell us when it's time. And instead of finding a cooler place in the lawn where she thinks she'll be left outside, she comes right back to the house when she's done.
Chikn Nugget's cherry eye was surgically taken care of and she's spayed, up to date on all vaccines and flea tick and heartworm prevention and microchipped.
This sweet love would continue to thrive with a family that has patience and endless love, maybe even with another dog or two that could continue showing her all the ways to dog. She is about 35 lbs as we continue to get some weight on her and she has the most infectious smile and the most adorable underbite. We think she is between 1 and 2 and is getting acquainted with her playful puppy spirit. She is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat and she's learning boundaries as well as how to get in on the fun.

She is currently in Cherry Hill NJ and will be ready to meet a lucky family soon.
