I love love love this pup! Meet Chief Rainwater!
MY STORY
It is crazy to think that I am only six weeks old and have already seen so much. My story began when I was born in the shelter. My mom was so skinny no one knew she was pregnant, and suddenly there we were! Sadly, the shelter is not a place for newborn puppies. There are so many things that we can catch, and as a new born you have no immunity. Two of my siblings ended up passing away because of an upper respiratory infection, and the rest of us were battling it. This rescue took us in as soon as they could, but sadly we lost two more of my siblings. They were just too weak and the meds didn't help. For my brother and I...they did though. We got over that nasty infection, and now we are two happy, chunky pups!
ABOUT ME
My name is Chief Rainwater and I am part of the Yellowstone Litter. I am 6 weeks old, and we are unsure of my breed. My mom Beth seems to be a Labrador Retriever Husky mix, so that is the mix we are going with for me as well. I don't know who my dad was, my mom says he was a traveling salesman. I am the kind of pup that loves to be near you! Here is what my foster says about me
"Chief is a darling boy! He is very vocal and loves to play fight. He comes running to me the second I call. You can find him with the other dogs or following a human. He doesn't seem to be very independent. He LOVES the air conditioning! He comes in from being outside and flops down dramatically. He followed my grandson around the backyard when he was over so I think Chief will bond with his humans fast and hard!"
I am good with other dogs and kids. I have not been around any cats, but figure I with proper introduction I would do well with them. I am still just a baby so am working on my potty training. When my foster is gone, she baby gates my brother and I to a certain room and we do well. I would prefer to have another dog in my new home to learn from, but if my person is home most of the day I don't have to another dog in the home. I love to be wherever the action is!

My adoption fee is $275 and that will include two sets of puppy shots and wormings, bordatella, micro-chip, and neuter. I will also be current on my heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
