Meet Chief NEW PUPDATE!

PUPDATE:
Chief was in the office with me today for the morning and doing very well. I asked him to go into the crate and he willingly did. not seeing any crate fear or trauma. Have not left him for any period of time yet but i did leave him tethered to the desk for a few mins and he was fine. He is very smart and a quick learner. I showed him the office cats and he seemed interested but did not lunge or bark at them but when outside he did seem to want to chase the cat that jumped out in front of him and ran off. He is very food motivated and loves praise. He knows sit very well, will lay down with a lure of a treat. Kinda has the concept of heel but I think with consistency he would learn obedience very quickly. He is very active outside and loves to run and play with his friends. Very quite so would be good for an apartment if plenty of Excersice was provided. Would do well with another active dog to play with and or an active family. Although he does enjoy just sitting or laying by your feet.

PUPDATE:
Chief was adopted and sadly brought back as he wasn't working out for them. Here is what his adopters have to say about him.
He doesn't like large lawn ornaments. Barks sometimes at other dogs when they give off the wrong vibe or surprise him but does less and less with exposure on walks. Knows (kind of) sit, lay down, stay, leave it, drop it, quite, off. Clicker trained.
Doesn't like cats, squirrels or crows. He's VERY active. Even after a long walk and playing he is still ready to go go go. Very quite dog, rarely barks. He is a power chewer. Loves Kong's with frozen peanut butter and bully sticks. Used a bell for potty, worked well when he was calm. Is a very good walker. Very food motivated. Cuddly and loves pets, will sit at your feet during naps and wants to lay in bed with you or on the couch. He has crate trauma and confinement and separation anxiety. When overstimulated he ignores all toys and instead jumps and bites feet, ankles, hands and unties your shoe laces. Likes toys and playing fetch with ball or frisbee. No food aggression, does sometimes accidently nips fingers if treats are not given with an open palm. Gets so many compliments on how pretty a dog he is. Pulls towards passerby's unless distracted with treats. Not aggressive just very excited. Does the cutest little thing where he sits then scoots closer to you until you pay attention to him. Needs other dogs in the home or humans that are experienced with training. Still has energy after 4 plus hours of walks plus fetch and toy time. Really is a good boy and loves everyone and all humans, asks for belly rubs from strangers. Very smart! Likes cushy beds in central space to watch the goings on of the house, otherwise will follow you from room to room.

Chief came in as a stray and sadly was never claimed. He was very scared at first but now he is very friendly rowdy pup. He is about 10 months old and weighs about 24 pounds. He is ready to go!
