Chico Pit Bull Terrier Mix Highland, MD

This handsome boy so desperately wants a partner for adventures. We've found his sweet spot in the shelter - 90 minutes of exercise a day and he's calm and content. This sweet boy loves everyone he meets! He enjoys chasing toys, going for car rides and long walks! He is incredibly smart and would love to do training or agility classes with you - to that end, he's still working on his house manners (he has a liberal definition of four paws on the floor, with his counter surfing desires). He's great on the leash and out in the world. He is house- and crate-trained but isn't going to love being crated if he could be outside running and playing with you instead.

Chico's love of life is contagious. If you wake up craving a run or a hike or a swim, he'll be right there with you. We keep him engaged in the shelter with structured meals, games, training, and exercise. He doesn't need to be the only dog in the house but he's not sure why you'd want to hang out with anyone else. Because he's still learning to completely control his body, we think a family that has older kids and a yard might be the best fit.
