Hi, my name is Chewbacca, but you can also call me Chewie. I came to Blind Dog Rescue from a shelter in Louisiana at the end of October. When the shelter took me in, I was in very bad shape, they couldn’t tell me which side was my head and which side was my hiney! Now, I am looking super handsome and everyone that meets me says how sweet I am. I had all sorts of problems, but they are all getting better. I had infections in my eyes and my ears, and I lost a lot of my fur, but everybody is taking such good care of me, and my foster mom says that I have very pretty eyes now that she can see them. I can see her a little bit, but it is very hard for me to hear anything. That doesn’t stop me though, I know how to get all around my house and my yard, and I almost never bump into anything.

I live with my foster family; a mom, a dad and a bunch of little foster brothers and sisters to keep me company. I don’t like to play with them, I really would rather just sit with my foster mom or dad and have them give me love. My foster mom says that I am the best boy ever. I haven’t had a single accident since I have been here and I’m very quiet even when the other kids are yelling at the mailman!

Very soon I am going to be neutered and have my teeth cleaned. I hope they don’t have to take that many away, but if they do, that will be okay because I like my crunchy food to be hard or softened with warm water. I am not a picky guy.
I would really like to have my own family to love me and take care of me. I don’t care if I have any four-legged brothers or sisters, I’m happy to be on my own. But if I do, if they don’t pester me all the time we will get along. I’m a pretty chill guy, I haven’t been around kitties in my foster home, but I probably would be fine living with them.
