Cherry! Chihuahua Princess Chihuahua Meriden, CT

Meet Cherry, our spunky and playful Chihuahua girl! Cherry is about 3 years old, and she came to our facility after she was found roaming in a wooded area in town. She absolutely loves toys and will continuously fetch them. We do think she may be house trained as she is very clean in her kennel and much prefers to use the bathroom outside. Cherry has the typical Chihuahua personality. She can be very shy when first meeting someone new, but when she trusts you, she will be your best friend! She can be protective of her home and will bark loudly if she hears anyone at the door.
Cherry needs to be the only pet in the home as she prefers to receive all the attention! She will guard her toys and food from other dogs, so being the only dog in the home is a must. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
