Cherry Labrador Retriever & Shepherd Mix Petaluma, CA

Cherry is a beautiful and goofy Lab/Shepherd puppy who makes friends with everyone. Cherry was well-loved in his former home, but his owner realized that she did not have the time for him with her work and school schedule and very sadly had to give him up. We have found Cherry to be a well adapted and all-around good fellow. Here's what his former owner had to say:
Cherry is a really friendly, smart 90# Shepherd-Black Lab mix. He's about a year old--very energetic and upbeat but also always happy to hang around the house and snuggle. He loves everyone he meets and is quick to get comfortable with new people. He really enjoys being around kids and other dogs, though he does need some help learning how to be gentle with his big body. He's got some basic obedience training (sit, down/stay, recall is decent but needs work still) and is a fast learner--he's food-motivated but is also really motivated by praise and by having a good connection with whoever he's with. He would thrive in a home with someone who can handle his size and strength, where he can regularly get outside and exercise, and where he'll have consistent companionship with a human or another pup.
All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.
