Chenille Poodle Mix Brooklyn, NY

My name is Chenille. I’m a 10 yr old, 8 lb poodle mix, but my foster pawrents call me a “snuggle bug”, because my favorite place to be is sandwiched in their laps. A calm, warm lap is especially delightful because I recently arrived in NYC from Tennessee, where we think I was found living in the streets :( Though I can be shy with new people, I’m really excited about my foster neighborhood because I’m very curious and love to explore & sniff! Since my tiny legs can only carry me so far, I’m not an “active dog” but I’m happy to snuggle in a carry bag, or in someone’s arms so I can still take in the sites & sounds.

My foster pawrents are very proud of how I’m adapting: I’m house-trained, don’t chew anything I’m not supposed to, and love to learn & follow rules. I’m currently recovering like a champ from an ear infection and a surgery. I become a little anxious when left alone for too long because it reminds me of my life on the streets, but I’m improving with some training and as I get used to my foster home. I've had a lot to throw at me since I was first rescued, but it hasn’t stopped me from wagging my tail and wiggling my cute little butt.
