"Cheddar is the only boy in our cheese crew and we should have called him cheese puff because he is a fluffy hunk of love. He literally has melted our hearts and we love holding him and cuddling with him as he is the sweetest. He loves other dogs and will chase them around and even keep up with our 90 lb Pyrenees. He is the leader of the group but looks out for his siblings, except for when it comes to food... he wants it all! He loves engaging with new people and his face will light up your life!!"

Cheddar and his two sisters came to us after their owners could no longer keep them. They were part of an unexpected litter, and the neighborhood kids kept trying to steal them. Their owner wanted them to go some place safe ASAP and surrendered them to our rescue.

Cheddar is a 6 week old male Husky mix. We don't expect him to get bigger than the 50lb range, but that is a rough guess.

? Cheddar is still a baby. This means his new family needs to be ready to work with him on his; leash training, potty training, basic house manners, obedience training, and be ready to show him right from wrong. His new family needs to ensure that they have lots of time on their hands to work with him.

?Cheddar is being fostered around other dogs and kids. He loves both and does wonderful with them.

?Cheddar is still working on his potty training. Currently, he is baby-gated to a certain area in his foster home and does well with that. He is currently working on his kennel training.

Cheddar needs a home with a backyard, toys, and time and attention. He is so smart and curious and a natural leader with the pups. He loves food, treats, and being held and will be really fun to train!!
-Cheddar would love to have another doggie friend to learn and play with, in his new home. If his family is home most of the day, he would also do fine as an only dog.

?Cheddar will be ready to go home around June 10th after his second puppy shots. His new family should plan to pick him up around this time.?

Cheddar is being fostered in Edmond, OK. His new family needs to be able to pick him up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with him and his new family! ?

His adoption fee is $275. That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. He will also have had a bordetella. He will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
