Chase is a sweet little guy who spent his life in a high rise apartment as an only dog. He has learned to co-exist with other dogs in his foster home but he will not be placed in a home with other dogs.
He has wonderful house manners and is not a barker unless another dog comes close. He is sweet and affectionate on his terms. He likes belly rubs and treats and once he knows you are going to be nice he warms up.
Initially Chase had a very hard time adjusting to his life changes. He was over whelmed and scared, not trusting of people and definitely not happy to be in a home with other dogs.
He enjoys quiet evenings in his plush comfy dog bed. He is crate trained, but crating is unnecessary since he has excellent manners and there has not been a need to crate since he has been in his foster home.
Chase DOES NOT go to meet & greets, since he does not like other dogs it is too are stressful for him. If you would like to meet Chase, please fill out the online application. It takes approx 5-7 days for the application approval, after which his foster can arrange a private meet in greet.
** Please note: Due to their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5..
We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws, please visit our website at www.lilpaws-malteserescue.org and fill out an adoption application. This is the first step in our adoption process. Our goal is to place our dogs in safe, stable and loving homes in the Austin Metropolitan area. Thanks for looking!
Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws depends on donations to keep the dogs in our program healthy. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery. Because of the cost of this care, donations are essential to enable us to continue our work. If you would like to show appreciation for what we do and help us continue to do it please go to our website homepage and click the donate button. We thank you in advance for your support.
