Meet Chase 2

Chase 2 is a 50 lb. mixed breed dog who was recently rescued from a high kill shelter in NC. Is he a Border Collie? Is he a Boxer? Whatever he is, he is stinking cute! Chase was surrendered to the shelter by his caretaker after his actual owner left him for months without coming back to get him. The caretaker stated that he had Chase housed in a kennel with another intact male dog and they got along great. The people also stated that he did fine with their children. He dog tested well at the shelter also although he was very scared and mostly wanted to hide. Once we got Chase out of the shelter and into a foster home in NC he began to open up. Granted...it did take a little while.. but before we knew it he was soliciting play from the other dogs in the foster home and sharing toys and couches with them. He did very well with the children in his foster home also. We are unsure as how this sweet boy would do with cats. He is not a fan of riding in a car and gets quite nervous when traveling. But, we are sure that he will get used to going for rides with a patient adopter. Since Chase 2 does have a tendency to be very shy, we will be placing him in a permanent home where there is at least one other confident dog. This will help Chase to adjust quicker. Chase 2 is already neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations and he recently tested negative for heart-worm disease. The suggested adoption donation for Chase is $300 to help with the ongoing vet bills that the rescue takes on. Chase 2 will be arriving on transport to PA on Saturday evening, Feb. 1st, and we are taking applications on him now. If you would like to adopt, or foster, this sweet guy please complete the online application on our website www.OneLifeToLiveRescue.com. A rescue volunteer will be in touch as soon as your application is reviewed and approved to answer any questions that you might have and to talk to you about our Foster-to-Adopt Program. Yes, that's correct... you can pick Chase 2 up on Feb. 1st and foster him for a short period of time to see if he is a good match for your family. Thank you for considering a wonderful, rescued Border Collie?/ Boxer? /Mixed-Breed dog!! Chase 2 was adopted by his foster-to-adopt family. His new name is "Tuck" and he will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of his life in Dallas, PA!!
