Charlotte Yorkshire Terrier Mix Palatine, IL

Looking for an amazing dog? I'm Charlotte, an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix. People say I’m friendly, funny, energetic for my age, and very cute!

I came from a hoarding situation in Louisiana and, as a result, I am first learning about house manners. My foster tells me I'm doing really well with potty training and even though I take a few minutes to calm down when crated, I’m mastering that, too. I will "talk" to you when I want to go outside, play, or just get some of that attention I so crave. The key to good crate time for me involves a peanut-butter-filled Kong; it really helps pass the time so I can be crated while you are away at work.

I am not really into toys, but I love walks and all 11 pounds of me is great on a leash. Likewise with car rides — I just sit there and chill.

When it comes to other animals, I LOVE other dogs and understand the social cues if a dog isn’t interested in playing with me. I get along with literally everyone: dogs, people, and even cats. I am hoping for a home with people who aren't gone too frequently and who can let me out often.
