Meet Charlie PUPDATE
PUPDATE!
Sweet puppy pic to attract people to look at his profile.
Our poor sweet Charlie has been in and out of the shelter since November 6, 2016. Yes you read that correct. 2016.
He came in as a 2 pound puppy, born Oct 16, 2016. His first owner adopted him at 8 weeks old and had him for three years. There is no paperwork saying why he was returned. We think this is his year. Lets make 2022 his best year ever and get him into his forever home!
One of charlie's brothers got a DNA test and they shared it with us. He is not at all what we thought he was! Drum roll please................
25% Rottweiler
25% American Staffordshire Terrier
19% Chow Chow
14% Akita
5% Black and Tan Coonhound
Charlie is such a friendly and happy dog to everyone, both young and old. He loves to ride in the car and go on walks. Loves to be pet and loved on. He knows quite a few commands and this boy LOVES Frisbee! He adores being active and doing what you are doing. We recommend that Charlie be the ONLY dog in the household. Unless you are willing to put in the work to get him ok with another dog in the household. He does really well with smaller dogs and/or dogs that are calm and confident. He has been introduced to small dogs, a baby goat and a cat and he does ok. He was attacked at a dog park as a puppy and has never gotten over his fear of other large dogs. This means as his owner, you must be his advocate and protector. He should never be placed in a situation where he could be scared or reactive. Yes, this will require vigilance and a true commitment to his well-being and Charlie is worth that commitment. We will support you and Charlie every step of the way with verbal and written guidance. He is an amazing dog and deserves an owner who sees his outstanding potential. He has been adopted and returned to our shelter 5 times for a variety of reasons which we would be happy to share with you.
The adoption fee of $175 includes neuter, microchip, current vaccines, free vet visit, and engraved ID tag.
