Thank you for your interest in Charlie. He has been in Rescue waiting for his adoption for almost 7 months! Someone is missing out on a nice dog.

Charlie lives in an Alabama Foster Home and will transport to the northeast when he is adopted. An Approved adopter will speak to his foster family for FaceTime, more pictures, more information to learn about your dog.

We have been adopting dogs to families in the northeast for over 16 years.

Charlie is approximately 3 1/2 years old and weighs 56 pounds. He will not grow larger. Charlie was abandoned on a rural Alabama highway, because that’s how losers abandon their responsibility to an animal in the south.

Charlie lives in a foster home with other dogs. He reacts to the cats he sees when he’s in the yard, but will quiet with correction. He just doesn’t understand cats.

Charlie would be a great companion for a stay home person, someone wanting to add a friendly dog to the home, or a retired person. That is how he’s lived for the past seven months, with someone more available. He’s good on a leash for walks, but he’s strong. We require a real fence for him.

He’s crate trained, he sleeps in a crate and he takes a couple of naps during the day in a crate. He loves to be outside when the weather is good exploring and playing with the other dogs.

Charlie has no aggression or resource guarding issues. He shares toys and antlers with other dogs.

Charlie is neutered, heartworm negative, with rabies and other vaccines, microchip, and he receives flea, tick and heartworm prevention monthly.

Adoption fee includes transportation and a health certificate from a licensed Vet before transport. We pay for every dog we sent North as we do not own the van or service.

Adoption fee reduced to $350 and he’s worth every penny.
