Charlie Rottweiler & Retriever Mix Marion, OH

Charlie is what happens when you mix a mini Rottweiler with a bundle of raw nerves and give it legs. She's built like a compact tank but has the emotional stability of a damp paper towel. She's basically Anxiety from Inside Out in a fur suit, constantly narrating her own horror movie that no one else can see.

Suspicious breeze? Red alert. Leaf moved weird? DEFCON 1. Someone coughed? Time to evacuate.

BUT--once you earn her trust (which takes time, patience, and possibly a blood oath), she will love you with the intensity of a thousand clingy suns. She's a world-class hugger. Like, full-body, dramatic, Oscar-worthy hugs. Think "emotionally unstable weighted blanket" but with ears.

Charlie used to like other dogs, but shelter stress has her guard up. Can you blame her? This place is loud, there are weird smells, and she's 100% sure the mop bucket is plotting against her. She needs a calm home without small kids (they're just chaotic raccoons with juice boxes, and Charlie says no thank you).

She walks like a dream on leash. Truly--leash skills of an off-duty police K9, but in the body of an overthinking beanbag.
