Meet Charlie, a sweet and shy Chihuahua with a heart full of potential! Charlie comes from a puppy mill breeder who has now closed its doors, and for him, the world of living in a home is all new. Every day, he's learning what it means to be a dog, and he's making remarkable progress. At first, he may freeze when you pet him or pick him up, but if you give him a little time and patience, you'll see the soft tail wags and hear the gentle joy in his movements.

Charlie is still finding his confidence, but he's already showing signs of trust. When you use a soft voice or let another dog show him the way, Charlie will come to you, eager to connect. He is not yet leash trained and currently uses a potty pad as he's not comfortable in the fenced backyard just yet. He will sleep with you at night, but he's still learning how to get on and off furniture.

Charlie is a work in progress and will need a very patient owner who understands that he's still adjusting to home life. However, in just a few months, with the right care and continued love, he'll begin to understand what it's like to be a loving house dog. A secure, fenced yard is a must for Charlie, and having another dog in the home will help show him the ropes. Suggest a home without small kids as fast movements are scary to him.
