Hi! My name is Charlie and I am looking for a special forever home that will overlook my "disability" and love me for who I am. I was given up by my previous family to a high kill shelter who said that they just had too many dogs. They told the the shelter that as a young puppy, I had been hit by a car and one of my front legs got broken but they didn't take me to a vet to have it taken care of. Lucky for me, BCAA saw me and said they would help me and even took me to see if anything could be done to help my leg; unfortunately, at this time it's all healed and the vets said that since I have adjusted to it that surgery wasn't recommended. I do walk with a limp but it doesn't stop me from running and playing with the other dogs and coming to get lots of love from my foster parents. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and ignore cats. I absolutely adore kids and just light up when they are in the room. I would love to have a kid of my very own. I've done really good in my crate once I learned the schedule without any accidents. I've been learning leash walking and doing better since it means I can be with you. At 40lbs and around 9months old, I'm pretty much full grown and not expected to get much bigger so I'm a good size (not too big and not too small!). No one knows exactly what my breed mix is other than that I'm super cute and have really soft eyes.
