Charlie at Jefferson Feed Hound & Terrier Mix Jefferson, LA

Charlie was found as a stray by the Jefferson Protection and Animal Welfare Services and unfortunately no one came looking for him. Charlie is about 10 years old but he is in good health. Charlie weighs about 20 lbs. He is shy at first but warms up when he feels comfortable with people.

Charlie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested negative for heartworms. The vet also ran senior blood work on him and gave him a clean bill of health. We don't know what kind of life Charlie had before he came to us but he is looking for a furever home where he can spend his senior years. Are you that person?

Stop by Jefferson Feed (corner of Jefferson Hwy/Central Ave) and meet our dogs during store hours. Adoption fee includes vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and a heartworm test. Any dog that tests positive for heartworms can be treated through our Fix-A-Heart Program. Adopter has to buy a year supply of heartworm prevention before treatment begins.
