Charlie Labrador Retriever Mix Glastonbury, CT

Charlie is an oldie but a goodie. He is a Lab mix who is estimated to be around 11 years old and weighs 58lbs. Charlie was found living near a dumpster in rural Northeast Louisiana. He was skin and bones and had heartworm disease. While in his foster home, Charlie flourished! He loves to eat and cuddle. He gained 20 lbs and is looking great. He loves going for walks and rides in the car. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He sleeps in a kennel at night but gets run of the house during the day. He has only had a few accidents but that was when he first came to foster and they hadn't learned each other's routines yet. He has early stages of glaucoma so will need to be on eye meds the rest of his life. He doesn't mind the drops especially if he gets a treat afterwards. He is precious and will make the BEST friend for anyone. He may be an older fella, but he has so much life to live and love to give! Senior dogs are AWESOME! Charlie is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Upon rescue, Charlie tested positive for heartworm, but has completed treatment and is now heartworm free! He does have glaucoma and will need daily eye drops for the rest of his life.
