Charlie Chihuahua Manhattan, KS

Hi guys, I’m Charlie! I am a four-month-old chihuahua mix and let me tell you, I have been through a lot in my short life!

First, I was born (I think) with three working legs and one paw that doesn’t do much for me. So I have learned how to hobble around on three legs. Don’t worry, I am still a speedy little guy and I love to run!

Second, I escaped being euthanized by coming to Purple PAWS. And most recently, shortly after coming to PPAWS, we found out that I had parvovirus, and I was very close to dying. BUT my tiny little self wasn’t quite ready to go yet and I fought through it! I no longer have parvo and am recovering well. So as you can see, my skills definitely include beating the odds!

My foster parents say I am precious in every way! I LOVE to cuddle and I give UNLIMITED kisses! I am not shy and I just love everyone I come into contact with. I also love kids, cats, and small dogs. Sorry, no big dogs for me.

It’s been said that I have some resource guarding tendencies, but I am working to correct these behaviors, especially because I’m so young and have a lot to learn. I’m already doing better in my foster home, I just need my adopter to keep working with me on it. I am doing pretty well with potty training, but remember that I am a puppy and I still need a little work. I am crate trained and I also do amazing on car rides!
