Meet CHARLIE ~ 1 1/2 years old, 18 pounds, Maltese/ Poodle Mix, Neutered Male.
Available for adoption!
Charlie is as energetic as he is adorable, he gets along well with most other dogs, loves car rides, and is housebroken. Charlie came to us as an owner surrender due to increased travel required for their career. He has been beyond spoiled and well loved but could benefit from some training. He can become somewhat possessive of things and people and does have a bite history. Charlie also has medication to be sedated from grooming and vet visits. He could certainly benefit from a confident and assertive dog handler to neutralize some of his behaviors. Due to his bite history he would not be suitable in home with children.
Charlie does have some issues but you can tell he wants to be a good boy and fit into a forever home. With the right amount of patience and understanding, we think Charlie will make a very loving companion for the right person.
Completely Fenced yard is required to adopt Charlie.
$200 adoption fee. Charlie is neutered, current on vaccines, current on heartworm and flea prevention, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped.
Contrary to the many marketing claims made to appeal to people with allergies to pets, there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog breed, although some individual dogs may cause fewer allergy symptoms than others. Many people think that pet allergies are caused by a dog's or cat's fur, but the real source of pet allergies is often a protein that's in the saliva and urine of dogs and cats.
Charlie is not a hypoallergenic dog breed.
Charlie, and other poodle mixes, also need grooming about every 6 to 9 weeks. They DO SHED into their own coat which will cause matting if not properly groomed.
Our adoption area, unless otherwise specified in their bio, is within a two hour radius of Cincinnati for adult dogs.
