Meet Char!

This little mama was found heavily pregnant trying to cross a busy street. A nice lady in the neighborhood had been feeding her since she was dumped 3 months earlier. Shortly after arriving to her foster home, she had 10 puppies. 10!!!! Unfortunately, we lost some in the first couple of weeks due to heart failure, but 6 beautiful babies survived! Now that all of the babies have grown up and found their forever homes it is time for Char to get her happily ever after.

Char weighs 23lbs! She’s tiny. She is crate trained but will bark if she sees you while she’s crated (unless she’s sleeping in the bedroom with you in her crate- she’s quiet then). She has medium low energy and prefers lounging around with her human. She also walks well on leash and would love to take evening strolls with you.

Char is being fostered with fur siblings (both cats and dogs) and human kid siblings and does well with them all. While she would be fine with a fur sibling in her forever home, she doesn't need one to be happy. In fact high energy dogs stress her out but she makes sure to bark at them letting them know it's time to calm down because Queen Char says so.

Char can be scared of new people, so will take her a minute to get adjusted and she will bark, but once she knows she can trust you, she will love you hard.

Char is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for transport to many places across the country.
