Chappy Boston Terrier Van Vleck, TX

Chappy is a small senior guy about 14lbs. A home with a more relaxed environment would be best for him as he gets stressed out easily with loud activities. Chappy needs a quieter home with no small children or overreactive dogs. Chappy's best home would be a retired couple or a stay-at-home or someone who works from home. This little boy is very clinging and wants nothing more than to be in his foster mom's lap or being held. He loves car rides and going wherever you go. He does ok with other dogs; however, he will get feisty if another dog is barking out of control or takes off doing zoomies. He doesn't like it and tries to make them stop. He can't eat hard kibble and requires a soaked kibble with canned food. As of now, he has been wearing doggy wrap as he does want to mark, we are hoping that resolves since he was recently neutered. He will require a home where he can have a mommy that can be with him most of the day and doesn't mind a Velcro boy. He literally jumps in your lap and goes to sleep. Chappy will beg for you to carry him; he has been using the doggy door with the other dogs in his foster home. Chappy was very neglected in the past. He unfortunately is heartworm positive and has started protocol for the slower kill method. He is still in the processing of gaining more weight. He has been neutered and had infected teeth removed and his ear infections & scratches in his eyes were treated. Chappy is a sweet, quirky and special little guy, and we know the right home is out there. We are taking applications to screen for his best fit.
