Meet Channel!

This sweet girl is ready for a home of her own.
She came to us from one of our shelter partners in Arkansas. She was surrendered by her owner. He was moving and was unable to take her with him.

She does well with other dogs as you can see from the video of her playing with her foster brother Charlie.

Here is Lucy, the 6yr old foster sis talking about Miss Channel : https://youtu.be/ok9XZ056-9k

She seems to pick one person in the house and quickly attach. This may be due to the recent upheaval in her world and she is craving for stability.
She is a lap dog . . a 40lb lap dog, but a lap dog nonetheless. :)

So far she hasn't shown any interest in toys. She has chewed on a chewy and does well in a crate. She also walks well on a leash. She does pull a bit out of excitement, but then walks alongside you.

We have no idea who her parents are, but by her look we are guessing she may be a lab bassett mix. Or possibly a lab dachshund mix. Who knows.

She is about 2.5 yrs old, 40lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, rabies and has a microchip.

Due to all of the recent changes in her life we are looking for a family that is ready and willing to give this girl a forever home. The last thing she needs right now is more change. You can tell she craves affection and is very loyal and devoted to her person. So please only apply if you are ready to adopt now and are ready and able to give her a home for her lifetime. That's what this girl needs and deserves.

Adoption Process:

- please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application

- one of our team members will get back to you.

- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received.

- Adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, initial worming, and microchip.

-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.

NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
