Meet Chandler

Check out what a volunteer has to say about Chandler:

"I got a chance to visit with Chandler today. He was the sweetest boy! He walked very well on a leash and did not tug or pull hard.

"Outside, he was just about the happiest boy in the world. He was so smart and learned VERY fast that following commands meant he got treats. A super well-behaved dog, he knew the commands 'sit,' 'down,' and 'stay.' He was very gentle in taking the treats. When I picked up the leash to take him back inside, he came right to me and sat down so that I could easily slip the leash on him. Such a good boy!"

Another volunteer spent some time with Chandler and noted that he went potty right as he got to the yard, and LOVED toys! He also seemed politely interested in other dogs.

One of our volunteers spent time with Chandler again and reported this:

"I visited Mr. Chandler again today! Always the gentleman, as soon as he saw me at his kennel, he got right up and came to sit by the end so I could put on his leash. First and foremost, he wanted to go outside, and he went potty as soon as we were out there. Once that was taken care of, he came up and asked to me to go back inside. Once in the playroom, I got to see that sweet boy's personality come right back to life. Boy oh boy, does he love life. He loves saying hello to people, and wagged his tail happily anytime someone went by the room. He loved the toys, but seemed to like belly rubs more. After playtime, I took him back to the kennel. He told me that while he's really appreciated his time at MAS, he is ready to go to his home with his forever family. If not forever, then he wants a foster home real bad. He's a gentleman boy - he needs a gentleman's home! He knows his perfect family is out there, and he is waiting for them to come get him. He will be right at the end of the kennel whenever they get there, wagging his little tail and smiling!"
