Meet Chanceux

Bonjour, my name is Chanceux, which is French for "Lucky," and boy, have I truly lived up to that name! I am a vibrant and spirited 1-year-old male pit bull terrier, weighing in at a sturdy 50 pounds. My journey started in Animal Control and sadly I was there for longer than 50 days. Animal control will euthanize dogs if they are there too long. I was being prepped for the end of life when Rescue One swooped in and saved me! Now I am being loved and cared for in a loving foster home. I am already housebroken and crate trained. My leash skills are a work in progress. Further I am good with dogs, cats, kids and indoor bunnies! I'm an explorer at heart, and having a house setting with a privacy fenced yard would be simply paw-tastic! Apartments will not work for me. I'm looking for a person who loves me unconditionally and is patient and committed to furthering my training. My journey has been one of resilience and hope, and I can't wait to find my forever family who will treasure me as much as I treasure them. I'm living proof that luck can turn around in an instant, and I'm ready to shower my new family with gratitude and adoration.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs:
