Champy! Smart and sweet! Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Cambridge, MA

Hi! My name is Champ! I am a 1 year old 48 lbs Catahoula mix boy! My vet thinks I have a lot of catahoula or blue heeler because of my hazelygreen eyes and my freckled fur. I am very sweet, playful and smart! I got my house training and crate training in just a few days! My foster mom says I am her favorite because I am her puppy nanny, a bit ago she hot a litter of puppies that were not well socialized and I taught them everything they needed to know about how to play, get treats from humans and be more confident.
I love people and overall my favorite is to play with toys in the yard, I run and play with my toys even if I dont have a dog friend with me, but if I do I am the happiest! I can make any dog play! I have a very outgoing personality I have being at doggy day care and they called me Mr Congeniality as I greeted and introduced myself to every dog there, but also I am mellow and quiet when inside the house. Did I mention I am also good around cats? I dont have a prey drive and if they want to play I am in!
Overall my perfect match would be a home with another playful dog or a human that likes to play and can play tag and catch with me in the yard or take me for walks or jogs, or maybe a day at day care if my human is too busy during the day. In a nut shell I am a fun boy that enjoys making friends and is super smart and trainable.
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster to adopt in the northern states.
What that means is that the lucky family that wants to add me to their family has 2-3 weeks to get to know me before deciding if I am the right fit for their home. If I am not, my rescue will find me another foster to adopt up north asap.
My rescue thinks is best for my humans not to feel pressured to take a decision and need time to get to know me, and need time to add me to their routine to see if we are a match before making the life decision to adopt me.
I have my luggage ready to board transport and leave Texas behind! My friends and I get to be transported to East Hartford CT where our lucky new families get to pick us up to start a foster to adopt!
