Cayden Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix Jefferson City, MO

Cayden is quite a trooper! At 10 months old, he was dumped in a Texas shelter with a broken pelvis after being hit by a car. Journey Home had him moved to the vet for rest and healing. He spent 6 weeks at the vet, and then he loaded up on a transport to Missouri. When he arrived, he wanted to climb right into our laps. We could tell his body was still week and had some healing to do. After more xrays, the vet called for 4-6 additional weeks of rest. That is becoming more difficult as he gets stronger, and his Malinois personality really comes out, but he is hanging in there and getting stronger everyday. The extent of the damage to Cayden's pelvis will likely lead to early arthritis, but he is young and he powers right on through his injuries. This boy definitely has a strong, willful Malinois personality. He is very smart and loves learning. He will need a strong leader and consistent training. He is house trained and crate trained. He is in a foster home with other dogs, but he is separated from them while he heals.
