Meet Carter
2–3 years old | 12 lbs | Arriving in Morristown, NJ around Nov 8
Meet Carter, a small pup with a big heart! He was rescued by The Sato Project from a severe hoarding situation in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he lived in a home with over 30 other dogs.
Despite his tough start, Carter is friendly, outgoing, and full of love. He’s now healthy and ready to start his next chapter — and he’s hoping it’s with you.
Because of his background, Carter will do best in a loving and understanding home that can help him continue to adjust and thrive. He’s the kind of dog who will bring joy, companionship, and a reminder of how resilient rescue dogs truly are.
Ready to welcome Carter into your heart and home?

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.
