Meet Carrie
Carrie is a 6 year old Chihuahua / Yorkie mix that weighs 8 lbs. She joined the rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. She came with an old & very painful back leg injury that the vet determined it was best to amputate. She is now a tripod dog that doesn’t let it slow her down.
She is shy when she first meets new people but does warm up to them. Once she becomes your buddy she will give you doggy kisses. She likes getting attention but is not obsessive about it like some of her foster siblings.
Carrie has shown no interest in playing with toys. She gets along with other dogs but she prefers calmer mature dogs than younger hyper ones. Before coming to the rescue she was living in a home as an only dog. She has an independent side that is just as happy sitting in your lap as she is next to you.
She enjoys treats, chew sticks, ear rubs, back scratches & car rides.
She is good with older kids unsure about littles. She doesn’t really care about the size of the yard she just does her business then she’s ready to go back inside. In the colder weather she appreciates a sweater to keep her warm.
She is crate, leash & potty trained. At night she will sleep wherever you let her. She is currently sleeping in her foster parents bed.
Carrie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, current on HW preventative and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $175.
