She struggles with separation anxiety and becomes very vocal when left alone. While she is not destructive, the noise makes it impossible for her to remain in her current foster home, which is shared with other tenants.<br/><br/>Carmen is extremely loving and gentle. She thrives on affection, belly rubs, and being close to her people. She has already made great progress in foster care and is house trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows her basic commands. Carmen is wonderful with children and enjoys the company of other playful, confident dogs who help her feel secure.<br/><br/>Carmen’s Ideal Home:<br/><br/>- Detached house (required, due to her vocalization when left alone)<br/>- A family or individual who is home often and willing to work on her separation anxiety<br/>- A friendly dog companion would be a big advantage<br/>- Dog-savvy children are welcome<br/>- No cats<br/><br/>Carmen has an incredibly sweet temperament—she is emotional, loyal, and eager to please. With patience and stability, she will continue to blossom into the amazing companion we know she can be.<br/><br/>The adoption fee for Carmen will be waived for any approved family willing to help her through this stage.
