Meet Carmen
Carmen is a large-size 1-year-old German Shepherd dog who weighs 57 pounds. This unique girl came to us as a stray in January and has made quite the impression around the shelter. Carmen, though anxious, has a loyal and protective nature towards her human companions. Just like a typical GSD, Carmen is ACTIVE and would seriously benefit from a large fenced-in yard where she can get all of her energy out. She has shown signs of separation anxiety and may need an adopter who plans to give her a physical as well as a mental outlet regularly. At this time, in order to set Carmen up for success, she will need to be an only pet. She's been very stressed during her dog-on-dog interactions, and we want her to feel comfortable and secure when she finds her forever home. She was tested for heartworms and Lyme and was negative for both. Carmen will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated before leaving for her forever home.
